今年１月に亡くなったデヴィッド・ボウイが、
生前コレクションしていた４００点もの美術品を、
オークションに出品すると、
競売大手サザビーズが発表した。

７月２０日から、
サザビーズ・ロンドンで、ハイライト・プレヴューが開催され、
その後、ロスアンゼルス、ニューヨーク、そして香港でも開催される。
”デヴィッド・ボウイ” コレクションが公開されるのは、今回が初めてだ。

そのなかで最も注目されているのは、
ジャン＝ミシェル・バスキアの”Air Power(1984)”で、
高さ１５０ｃｍを超える大作だ。

この作品は、
デヴィッド・ボウイが１９９５年、クリスティーズ・ロンドンで、
当時、７８５００ポンドで落札した。
今回のセールでは、２５０万ポンド～３５０万ポンドのエスティメイトとなっている。

「Bowie/Collector」と題されて世界中を魅了するだろう。
